Bobcat Hall of Fame
The Bobcat Hall of Fame Nomination Form is used to recognize and honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our school’s athletic programs. Nominees may include former athletes, coaches, teams, or contributors who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and a lasting impact on our athletic tradition. The Hall of Fame is held every two years, and the induction ceremony takes place during Thermopolis High School Bobcat Homecoming.
Please complete this form with as much detail as possible, including the nominee’s accomplishments, awards, and contributions. Supporting information such as statistics, records, or personal statements is encouraged to assist the selection committee in the evaluation process.
All nominations will be carefully reviewed based on established criteria. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee induction. See criteria below.
Hot Springs County High School Athletics Hall of Fame Criteria
Athlete
- Must be a graduate of Hot Springs County High School.
- Eligible for nomination five (5) years after graduation.
Desirable qualifications include:
- All-State recognition
- All-Conference recognition
- Milward Simpson Award recipient
- Multi-letter winner
Additional consideration will be given for school and/or state records, conference and/or state championships, and overall contributions to athletics.
Coach/Administrator
- Must have served as a coach and/or administrator at Hot Springs County High School for at least three (3) years.
- Eligible for nomination five (5) years after their service with HSCHS has ended.
Desirable qualifications include:
- State championships
- Conference championships
- Length of service
- Contributions to athletics
Team
- To be nominated, a team must have won a state championship.
- The induction of a team does not prohibit the separate induction of one or more individual team members.
- State championship teams are automatically eligible and do not require a formal Nomination Form.
Special Contribution
- Must have made significant contributions to the athletic programs of Hot Springs County High School.
- Must have demonstrated outstanding support for the ideals of sportsmanship and athletics.
Annual Inductions
Each year, up to the following individuals and teams may be inducted into the Hot Springs County High School Athletics Hall of Fame:
- Two (2) male athletes
- Two (2) female athletes
- One (1) coach/administrator
- One (1) team
- One (1) special contributor
