My name is Sandy Richins and I moved to Thermopolis in 2005 and began as a School Custodian for 3 years. I then moved into the Special Education Department for 2 years before arriving in the current position as Library Aide.
I have worked a total of 25 years in 3 different school districts in Wyoming and Montana, 23 of those years as a full time/ part time custodian.
Because of my love for children I wanted to be more involved with students beyond the daily cleaning up after them, so when asked if interested in the library para position I jumped!
I can’t imagine working anywhere but in a school, it is my passion to work with children, and has been an honor to meet and work with some very impressive Teachers. I hold such a high honor to teachers who have the gift to teach.
We currently have over 10 thousand titles in our library and getting more than 500 new books from hosting this year’s book fairs.
