Greetings! My name is Cory Sova and I grew up in Manderson, WY, later graduating from Basin, WY High School. I received my B.S. degree in Education from MSU-Billings in 1985. My first teaching position was back to Basin High School, where I taught students with special services. I also received my Master’s Degree in 2000 with a focus on Learning Disabilities and Curriculum/Instruction. In the year 2000, I transitioned to Laura Irwin Elementary School in Basin and was the Title I Teacher and Director for 9 years. In 2009, I moved to Rock Springs,WY and taught special services at the high school.
Throughout my career, I have coached varsity boys and girls basketball, high school football, and high school and middle school track.
I am so very excited to be back in the Big Horn Basin in the beautiful community of Thermopolis. I am very impressed with the kindness and hospitality shown by community members. What a great place to raise a child!
Also working for the school district will be my lovely wife Sherry. We have 3 grown kids who live in Missoula, Montana and 1 that lives in Tampa, Florida.
Activities that I enjoy are reading, watching and competing in sports, and spending time with family.
I will be teaching special education at HSCHS along with coaching girls varsity basketball and helping out with football. Go Cats!!
