Mary McGillivray

Music

Hi! My name is Mary McGillivray and I am the K-4 General Music and 6th Grade Drama teacher. I am very excited and privileged to be teaching music here in Thermopolis, Wyoming. I graduated from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD with a Bachelors in Composite Music Education, a Bachelors in Vocal Music Performance, and a Minor in Speech Communications-Theater Emphasis. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Music Education through the University of Wyoming. I have taught private voice, piano, and violin/viola/cello since 2006. I enjoy performing in plays, musicals, operas, and vocal recitals. I presented a seminar on Vocal Health at the Wyoming All-State Conference in 2014. I have also been an KCACTF Irene Ryan Nominee for my role in the musical “Lucky Duck” in 2007. In my free time I enjoy reading, sewing, fishing, hiking, and actually anything outside. I look forward to an incredible, musical year!
