Hello! I’m a 4th grade teacher at Ralph Witters Elementary School. I received my (BA) teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, I earned an (AAS) degree in Horticulture Science from Hawkeye Community College.
This will be my sixth year teaching in Thermopolis. My first year here I taught 5th grade, but have taught 4th grade ever since. I am also the head coach of the middle school wrestling team and assist at the high school level.
Before moving to Thermopolis, I worked abroad at a private school in Taiwan (R.O.C.). I taught grades first and sixth and tutored middle school students in English. I enjoyed the experience and culture but moved back to the states to be closer to friends and family!
I’m originally from Decorah, Iowa, a small Norwegian town in the Northeast corner of the state. My hobbies include traveling, hiking, morel mushroom hunting, wood-working, grilling, fishing, art, sports, and cruising on my motorcycle!
I really enjoy Wyoming and teaching the fourth grade!
