Routine Health Care Services

Below is a list of health services (may not be exhaustive) your student may encounter during their school day.
Parents /Guardians will be notified as soon as practicable in the event of major health changes
Injury (including but not limited to)   Injury Services (including but not limited to)
Cuts, Scrapes, burns, sprains, strains, possible broken bones, bruises, loss of baby teeth, hangnail, broken finger/toenail, nosebleed, splinter, insect sting, head injury.   Vital signs, physical assessment, cleansing of the area, bandages, cold/hot packs, and immobilization of a limb.
Illness (including but not limited to)   Acute Illness Services (including but not limited to)
Acute: Common cold symptoms, sore throat, stomach ache, vomiting, general fatigue, headache, dry skin, skin rash, earache, occasional thirst/hunger, environmental allergies, and chapped lips.
Chronic: Asthma symptoms, diabetes management, seizure management, medication management.
  Vital signs, physical assessment, review of symptoms, medication management.
Wellness Services (including but not limited to)   General Health Services (including but not limited to)
Health promotion, hygiene (hand, oral, basic), lice, feminine products, nutrition, monitoring eating habits and changes, clothing needs, and management of equipment (hearing aids, g-tubes, etc.).   Hygiene education, providing feminine hygiene products, provide clothing.
Mental Health (including but not limited to)   Mental Health Services (including but not limited to)
Panic attack, self-harm, bullying   Vital signs, physical assessment, referral to school counselor.
