Meals Provided by the District

Dear Parents or Guardians:
We are pleased to inform you that all enrolled students in Hot Springs County School District #1 will receive FREE breakfast and lunch through December 31st, 2020 effective September 14th, 2020. If your student has money on his/her meal account, it will remain there until after this program concludes. If you have any questions please contact Hannah Brooks, Food Service Director (307) 864-6539 for more information.

Thank you all for your support!

Greetings Bobcat Fans,
We have been working with our local health officials to work through the safest and most community friendly way to host our Bobcat activity spectators.

With that being said, Hot Springs County School District will be allowing spectators to attend athletic events effective immediately. CDC guidelines provide for social distancing allowing us to run our events at 50% of our facility capacity. Please remember your personal face coverings for when social distancing is not possible. At 50% capacity we hope to have plenty of safe seating for our fans at our venues.
We look forward to having our Bobcat Fans at our events!
Go Bobcats!

Welcome to Hot Springs County School District #1

There are three schools in our district, Ralph Witters Elementary (grades K-4), Thermopolis Middle School (grades 5-8) and Hot Springs County High School (grades 9-12). All of our schools are fully accredited by the Wyoming State Board of Education and the North Central Association.

Our district is known for its friendly, caring schools. With a total district enrollment of fewer than 700 students, we are afforded the time and resources it takes to give each student the personalized attention that he or she deserves to find success.

HSCSD # 1 will inspire students, staff and the community to be the recognized educational leader in the state of Wyoming.

We believe in:

  • Learning as the fundamental purpose for our work
  • A collaborative culture in which we learn together
  • A focus on results
  • Partnerships with parents & community
  • Ensuring that all students are prepared for any path they choose
