Mrs. Jennifer Beamer

Hello, my name is Jennifer Beamer, and I have been teaching since 2010. I started by teaching Preschool in Fremont County for two years. I then met my husband and moved to Laramie where I worked at Linford Elementary as a paraprofessional for 2 years and then moved on to teaching First Grade for 8 years. In 2022 we welcomed our daughter, Georgia, and decided to move closer to family. I have been at Pre-K Academy ever since and it has been such a joy to get to watch my students grow and learn over multiple years.

Our class community is a place where children come to feel safe, explore through play, and gain skills they will need to move onto Kindergarten. The curriculum is centered around kindergarten readiness skills but our approach is play-based. Students continue to build self-regulation skills and develop social/emotional skills, while increasing their knowledge of alphabetic principles, rhyming, concepts of print, numbers/counting, shapes, etc. They first build strong fine motor skills so they have the stamina and strength to master writing their name, cutting, etc. Our class is play-based and students build their pre-academic skills through music/movement, and hands-on activities that foster social growth at the same time.
