Mrs. Jennifer Beamer
Hello, my name is Jennifer Beamer, and I have been teaching since 2010. I started by teaching Preschool in Fremont County for two years. I then met my husband and moved to Laramie where I worked at Linford Elementary as a paraprofessional for 2 years and then moved on to teaching First Grade for 8 years. In 2022 we welcomed our daughter, Georgia, and decided to move closer to family. I have been at Pre-K Academy ever since and it has been such a joy to get to watch my students grow and learn over multiple years.
Our classroom is a welcoming community where children feel safe, build meaningful relationships, and learn through play. Our goal is to help each child develop the confidence, independence, and foundational skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.
While our curriculum focuses on kindergarten readiness, our approach is intentionally play-based. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, children strengthen self-regulation and social-emotional skills while building early literacy and math concepts, including letter recognition, alphabet knowledge, rhyming, concepts of print, counting, number sense, and shape recognition.
We also place a strong emphasis on developing fine motor skills, helping children build the strength, coordination, and endurance needed for writing their name, using scissors, and completing other classroom tasks with confidence.
Music, movement, imaginative play, and interactive learning experiences are woven throughout our day, allowing children to develop pre-academic skills while fostering creativity, problem-solving, communication, and positive social interactions.
